at 8 hours, the post you're referring to had about 20 thumbs, it wouldn't have been any where near front page when this was posted. So it would be fair to assume that OP did not see this posted.

You can only see one page of the newest uploads, and not everyone browses the newest uploads.

By 8 hours, the other post would have been well on it's way to page 9 or 10 of the newest uploads, so OP might not have even seen it well enough if he had went through the pages.

It's funny because the one with the most thumbs is actually the second one to be posted in 24 hours, the other one was posted 5 hours before the one on the second page, this one being the third.

I don't mind seeing the same thing twice, because I understand what happens most of the time. Images get posted after one another because of inability to see the one posted before it.

I remember seeing the picture a while back, I think it originated on Reddit, but I could be wrong there, it might even be from Tumblr, but I doubt that.

The gif is from homestuck, I just wanted to test to see if the transparency looked good enough to use as a reaction gif.
