Not really, there are sexual scenes, but meh, the stories are better, there are like 12 or so different paths.

So basically people read it for THE PLOT.

They start reading for THE PLOT, but stay for the actual plot.

That's how I get people to play it I tell them theres an anal scene and by golly by the time they get to it theyre in love.

Well Emi was my favorite at first cause I played through it with out a guide but after playing lillys im in love where her now :P still havent got to rin yet i'm hoping it will be good.

i didnt like rins much. i think i got the neutral ending and the bad ending. im doing that as the first of my replays and im going to do emis last to see if it stacks up to my memories. rin was just too broken if that makes any sense. i talked with someone who believes hisao has basicly an addiction to helping the girl, white knight syndrome or something, but rin is basicly unhelpable

I've heard the neutral endings are actually worse than the bad endings. I've been doing all the good endings following a flowchart. You're suppose to unlock some special extra stuff if you do all the different endings with each girl.

i think its like one pic. but im out of school and lifes more or less been decided for me so i dont have that worry. hanako was my last playthrough and i got her good ending the first time so the neutral end wasnt that bad. i think part of the reason i dont like rin is because i thought i got the good end. at the end it was just sort of like... thats it?

Oh I'm doing rins right now. It was like that for me when I got out of school I decided what I wanted to do for a living and my parents did everything else. I'm hoping I don't feel that way about rins play through.

first impressions of games set the tone. when i played emis i was kind of expecting the confession to come somewhere in the middle for the rest of the story lines. its good that they didnt all follow the same story but it just felt wrong that you were more or less friend zined till she hit her lowest point

I'm looking at this flowchart and Rins' is the most complicated looking one.

That's the general consensus, yes. I don't want to spoil much, but the neutral ending is far more heartbreaking, and includes lines such as "I will try to forget you", and looking back into her route many remember that she's said she's good at forgetting things. It really is crushing.

Thats why I save at every important decision, because I dont want to feel alone.

Hmm. I wonder if I'm alone in being mostly unaffected by this game.

Because of the way it was written I feel like it allowed me to delve into it the way I do with literature, then I take the story and characters to heart and it hits home pretty hard in this case.

Don't get me wrong, I was involved with the story. I acted like I would in real life and made decisions based not on what I thought the outcome would be, but based on how it would affect the characters. The writing did its job; I felt like I was a part of the story.

But then, at the end, I felt no pang of regret, or longing, or shame for the characters and relationships. I didn't miss them in the end, I didn't shed a 'manly tear' for what could have been, and I didn't think there should have been more. I guess it just doesn't work for me.

well as long as you enjoyed it then I'm sure it served its' purpose, not everyone gets emotional about things like that
