Jeez i only sided with the imperials because before picked a side i went to each HQ. And i went to Windhelm and was all like "Da fuck." Like seriously, I hate Dark Elves(Because of Oblivion) But shit, they live in filth and if they leave the grey quarter they get nasty remarks and dirty looks. That and I heard a Nord wanted to dig a pit and round the Dark Elves and the Argonians up and throw them in and let them kill each other... The Hell... Argonians are like super kick ass, all these Nords are fucking racist as well, hell i was playing as a Breton and they treated me like crap.
Than I go to Solitude, walked in on a guy getting beheaded for letting Ulfric leave Solitude. At this point i totally agree with it(even though the guy sounded nice.) The people were nice and all i hear is "Why don't those Stormcloaks get that the empire is keeping Skyrim safe from Elven rule." Which after visiting the Embassy made me get why that statement was true....
So i had like 0% motivation to ever help Ulfric because he and his people are all bigots to the other races and only want a SUPREME NORD MASTER RACE to live in Skyrim. Hell when i killed Ulfric and the new Jarl was appointed, he was pretty sweet, only the nords were bitching.
TL;DR: Stormcloaks are Racist assholes

I find it funny that with my nord, I sided with Imperials. Yet with my Redguard and Khajit I went with the Stormcloaks

imperials thought you were part of the stormcloaks, hasty and unfair? yes, but they still had a reason
stormcloaks are racists assholes
and they are just bringing skyrim into complete elven controll, as there weakoning both themselfs and the empire, and once skyrims not part of the empire the elves can ignore the treaty and take over completely
plus they attack whiterun
and come on your seriously going to kick out balgruff?
and they were neutral untill the attack

You can look at the Stormcloaks as today's Japan.
If you're a foreigner, you might be greeted weirdly, people might keep their distance, but if you adapt to their society and culture and learn their ways, then you'll be fine. Just like Nirayne. She says herself that it's the Dunmer's own fault for being true proud of themselves, and not adapting to the Nordic way, which makes people distrust them.

But in time I made the right friends and proved myself useful enough that they don't give me trouble anymore. The Dunmer are too proud and naive to see the way things truly are, and so they continue to dwell in that slum."

what does the enchantment "does 50 points of magic damage" mean? does that mean it damages the targets magic abilities (making it only useful against mages and shit) or does it do some extra type of magical damage on top of the base, physical damage?
