That's horrible. Do you happen to have Mission Mojave installed? It's an unofficial community patch that fixes little errors like this all over. Fallout 3 had little problems all over but when I put on it's unofficial patch the errors were mostly gone. It's for that reason that I looked up a community patch before New Vegas even arrived in the mail.
