Doesn't a thickly woven scarf hold air better? And wouldn't the heat of the sun then warm the scarf and therefore the air it holds, making a layer of warm air, which then insulates the snow. And actually, the snow DOES create "heat", since it still holds thermal energy unless it's 0 degrees Kelvin. The reason we feel it as cold is because it's temperature is significantly lower than our skin's. Therefore, the scarf DOES make it warmer.

I suppose the disadvantage of warming up the snowman would be outweighed by the +7 Style attribute points it gets.
