I was just going to make a post to this effect (not saying I'm a virgin, that ship has sailed) - people keep referring to virginity as if it's some sort of disease, people should be able to fuck when they're ready.

they're talking about those who are virgins not by choice...because the idea is that if u haven't lost it you must be weird or somethings wrong with you.

I agree entirely, but I think these sorts of jokes are aimed towards people who want to lose it, but can't. Not people who are saving themselves.

I respect your view, but I personally think sex shouldn't be seen as such a big deal. I think the path you're taking may lead to a lot of dissapointment. One being that having sex with someone is a test of your sexual connection, maybe you wouldn't have a great one and you're married to that person. Also, what if you broke up? What you had planned has now become completely ruined within yourself.

I lost mine to a random girl at a party, I won't refer to her as a slut or anything, because she isn't. We were both young and attracted to each other, so we went for it. I don't regret it, she's a lovely girl. I see myself as a sexual being (like any other person) and I want to get all my promiscuous side of me done and dusted before I consider settling down. And I will respect any girl I get with if she has done the same.

Well, I've already found a girl that I really like, and she likes me too. The only problem is that she's been dating someone else for almost a year, but I really don't think that their relationship can last much longer. I mean, she's caught her partner cheating on her twice with some of the partner's ex's.

Good on you, mate. I lost mine to a girl I dated but knew I'd never love because I was so desperate to lose it before high school (teen stupidity) that I lost it to someone it meant nothing to. I regret it. I mean, I didn't want to save it for marriage but I could have at least waited and given it to someone who mattered...

Well thanks. I've actually met a girl, and I really like her. I mean, before I met her, I never really saw the great advantage to having a girlfriend, but now, I just can't get her off of my mind. I've really never felt this way about a girl before. We were sorta going out for a little while about a year ago, but then I guess that she kinda lost interest in me because I wasn't as much of a risk-taker as she was, but we're still really good friends. Now, she's discovered that she's bisexual, and she's been dating this one girl for almost a year, but this other girl doesn't even treat her right. She's overly-demanding of her, and yet she's cheated on her like twice or three times in the year that they've been dating. Now, I really just don't know what to do. I know that this girl that I like needs to be free to live her own life, but at the same time, I just see this relationship of theirs and it seems that the girl that I like is the only person putting anything into it.
