Realistically speaking, Americans would probably nuke the aliens before they entered the atmosphere and say they were terrorist sympathizers and then pass an amendment for interstellar surveillance.

then you'll get the pro alien groups apearing all across the globe. and some countries will allow the aliens to enter their airspace. Causing riots with the ENP (earth national party) because of the allowence of interstellar beings. 'This should be a pure human racce' they will say/
