My favorites are switched ones of yours. I like Toradora a little more than Angel Beats, but loved both.

Well I don't know if you'll see if cause you posted as an anon, but if you haven't tried Angel Beats I suggest you go and try it out. You might not catch the first episode but if you watch a couple more you might just enjoy it.

I personally felt bad for and liked the Kohta the most he was both a gun crazy fighter and the overweightand often abused character

He was basically the social outcast character... Which is why so many people on FJ like him, because they can relate... Come on, let's admit it, if we weren't the bottom bin of society we wouldn't be on FJ.

Thank you! He and Saeko were my favorite characters but he didn't have much of a strong place in the show even though he is the only one among them who can shoot and maintain a gun among other bits of various knowledge that he has that comes in handy yet he is still treated like crap.

Soul eater is good but the ending felt rushed. They just rapped it up quickly because it caught up with the manga (which is still ongoing and is awesome IMO). Don't get me wrong the anime was perfect to start with so it's still definitely worth watching. I just think it was kinda spoiled by the ending.

MFW they ruined it by changing the story ended it all with just a crappy little punch.

Monster. Realistic universe, set in germany around when the wall fell. Psychological, thorough, a bit slow, but fairly interesting. Fullmetal Alchemist got me into anime and the endless search for the handful of good anime in the sea of crap. When you talk about good anime, theres around 30 tops, and some of those will be decent. The ones listed as answers are a good summary of the good ones. Save this thread, and it will help you on your way
