I agree, and then again I don't. All the mamby pamby believers allow the fundamentalists to exist. I don't suppose you saw the mass of around 100,000 people calling for the execution of a cartoonist not to long ago. Or the fact that they are still killing people for imaginary crimes like witchcraft. It might not be their fault, they might not be stupid and only ignorant, but the "Let people believe what they want" attitude is pretty stupid. If you think ridicule isn't a good method for getting others to think about their beliefs, try being an elementary schools student who still believed in santa.

On the internet? Not particularly. Granted many religious people are bigoted, but no one can really claim that many internet Atheists have an honest reason for their hatred of religious people aside from pure bigotry.

You're acting like belief in god is just an opinion, its much more than that. It's a fundamental assessment of reality along with associated moral guidelines. That fundamental assessment is wrong and those associated moral guidelines are wrong and wrong beliefs lead to making wrong decisions.
