This reminds me of something I read about dragons once. Scientifically speaking, if dragons were real they would want to lay on piles of treasure because their hard scales would mean they would have a dull tactile sense. This means that giant piles of gems and coins, while lumpy and uncomfortable to us, would feel comfortable and even provide a bit of a massage when rolled on for the dragon.

Just thought it was interesting.
