This is why I am so fucking terrified of open water.

You don't know what the fuck is swimming below you. And then suddenly you feel a tug at your leg. You can't hope to possibly out swim whatever's there. You're not Michael fucking Phelps. You just wade in the water, completely helpless. Waiting to get ass-fucked by some demon with 80,000 razor sharp teeth.

>throw bait in to the ocean at night (a notorious time for ocean predators to get food or at least be on the search for some)
>decides to jump in to ocean at same location as bait

logic.

I saw this as a comment a few comments down but didn't see anybody make the picture, so I figured I'd just be that nigger that stole the comment and made the picture and reap all the thumbs.

Pretty sure that it is a sand tiger shark. Goblin sharks have a longer horn and different teeth

That's why I love being bulgarian. Our only sea - the black sea is meromictic. That means that the different layers of the water don't mix and any water below a depth of about 10 metres is completely deprived of oxygen. That means nothing can survive below that depth. No sharks, no squid, no Cthulhus, nothing. The only species of shark in there is tiny, afraid of humans and nearly extinct.

Kinda looks like what I believe is called a goblin shark. Scary little fuckers. Could be mistaken though :l.
