Cloth's can be used over and over again , games really only have 1 or 2 good play throughs.

How could you finish a piece of clothing ? Unless it's completely threadbare, if you did wear it once (since it's your wardrobe), there seems to be no reason you couldn't wear it again... isn't it ?
So, in my opinion, it makes more sense to say "I have nothing to play" in front of a pile of games (it's the same as books, movies, etc.), than in front of a pile of perfectly fine clothes.
Therefore, although it was a (fine ?) joke, it would have been funnier to me if it was a more accurate comparaison.
