Drake decided to pursue a career in music, which is his passion. He has been in some roles since the show, such as Timmy Turner in the live action movies. Sure he isn't in any big movies like Josh, but he is pursuing his passion and the thing he loves doing the most without selling out. That in itself is respectable.

Drake's career has taken a turn because he doesn't let bullshit slip through his feed. He tells people off, especially JB fans, through twitter and such. No one wants to hire him because of it and he's fine with it.
