But I thought the laser sight attachment adds hipfire accuracy...

Well... Yeah... In real life it kinda does, too, because when you're shooting from the hip with a laser sight you can watch the red dot like a cat and know where you're shooting.

ITs not like he didnt call the ambulance first, as he is in one. So its pretty normal to post on facebook at that time.

This one kid shot himself in the foot during the fire and movement range at MCT. There were many lulz, even by the Corpsman

We had a guy during BRM flag his Battle Buddy as he attempted to apply SPORTS. DS throwing-knifed the range card, which hit him in the wrist knocking the rifle out of his hands, before his mind could register what was going on, DS had him in a full nelson.

not the range card, that ******* solid wood ping-pong paddle looking thing they use to let the RO know if their lane is GO/NO-GO, sorry.

SPORTS? We didn't learn that one... When I was at basic a guy did flag me with a weapon that was loaded and was on fire(the selector switch, I mean). I do say I nearly shat myself.

its a phrase they taught us so we could learn clearing our rifles.
Slap the magazine
Pull back the charging handle
Observe the ejection port/action
Release the charging handle
Tap the FA
Squeeze the trigger
Swag me out

wouldn't that be for loading or immediate action? I would tend to think clearing the weapon would involve removing the magazine at some point

I mean to say clearing a jam.
Otherwise known as immediate action, yeah.
We had a totally different procedure at the clearing barrel for leaving the range,
sorry bout that.

ooh, we just called it tap rack bang.
Tap(beat the the **** out of) the magazine
Rack bolt to the rear
Attempt to fire.
If that didn't work we had to lock the bolt to the rear(if possible) and look into the ejection port and clear the obstruction. One time I had a round somehow go above the bolt. It required an instructor to beat the butt stock against the ground until the shell casing fell out and I could fire

Yeah, that is essentially what it is. I always thought it was silly trying to teach privates, most of which have never touched a rifle, to run through sports in their head when they experienced a malfunction, whereas you could just as easily show them the procedure and have them repeat the procedure instead of:
****...uhh uhhh s...oh yeah right slap the magazine!
But then again, **** privates.

Worst I saw was during FTX a guy in 3rd Platoon's rifle had a catastrophic failure. I'm not sure what exactly happened but it was apparently bad enough they took him to the on-base hospital.

He probably heard an audible pop and tried to fire again(this will cause the rifle to explode).

They taught us that if that happens the rifle can explode if you fire without clearing it first. lol

That means there would of been a bright ******* red dot on his foot where he was aiming at it, and he still pulled the trigger?
