Enjoy your cease and desist.

Sorry to be the one to say that, but that's more than likely to happen. It happened with Link's Awakening 3D. Why not just release the game and spread it as much as possible before it gets banned?

why would it be banned? its a non for profit game, doesn't that mean people can do what they wish with it?

Also if your going to support the indy-game market/community good on ya. But support those who create their own ideas, worlds, and their own GAMES. Not just remaking other games with a different view.

Nope, because its using all of Game freak/Nintendo's intelectual property and trade marks. All of the pokemon and the name pokemon itself are trademarked and copyrighted material belonging to them. If Nintendo was to send a cease and desist and they didn't listen, they would obliterate the maker in court.

however, most of the time,as long as there is a disclaimer and the game is entirely free, there shouldn't be much problems.
I don't remember any pokemon fan-made stuff having troubles so far.
