thedudeistheman (12/30/2012) [-] Actually, this wasn't my first game either, just one of my first PS2 games. My dad has a Sega Genesis and I would play Sonic the Hedgehog, Double Dragon, and some other games on it. I should've said "And a life in gaming in continues," or something like that. I had forgotten about the Genesis. PS2 was probably how I got relatively serious with gaming (not competitive, but how I learned I would be a gamer probably for life).

thedudeistheman (12/30/2012) [-] The PS2 was meant for the family (I have a feeling the Nintendo systems your parents bought were too), but I used it the most. I don't remember when I got a PS2, but Kingdom Hearts already had a Greatest Hits case. I think I got it between 2004 and 2006.

You can still play on it. Your games aren't magically gone?
The online servers are still there, so that's not a problem either.
Sony only discontinued the production of the PS2-console.
They stopped making the PS2. The games are still being developed and sold (well that's what wikipedia says anyway).
As long as my PS2 is still working, there is no way in ******* hell that it will 'rest in peace.'
