I would imagine it would be very difficult, if not downright impossible. By the time a doctor even schedules the first prenatal appointment for a woman (roughly 8-10 weeks), the embryo already has all the pieces of genetic information. It has all of the chromosomes already. For any other medical care to happen in that pregnancy, the first prenatal visit is a must to get proof of pregnancy from an OB.
Amniocentesis would need to be done, and that's not done until the second trimester, and only done if a woman is deemed 'at risk' for her baby to develop a serious birth defect, because it is risky for both the fetus and the mother.
In order for what you are suggesting to actually work, someone would need to develop the technology to change a single part of the DNA sequences in every cell, after they have already been specialized and all the major organs have developed. That is so far into the future, it shouldn't be expected or counted on during your lifetime, or the lifetime of your children or your grandchildren.
And your hypothetical futuristic argument also falls flat if the parents of those children aren't willing to risk the life of the fetus that they already have an attachment to, just to make sure that he or she doesn't grow up homosexual or transsexual.

well, firstly one can go through selection where only a healthy sperm and egg are picked and artificially combined and placed inside a healthy mother, and monitored stage by stage
there can be hormone treatments all the way to ensure that the growing fetus remains clean all the way, and special therapy to ensure the mother doesnt have any emotional traumas that may impact the baby

I also did not state anywhere in my argument that it's a taught thing. I know sexuality isn't taught. If it was, I'd be straight as an arrow because of the "traditional family" nature of my household, and my sheltered life, not being allowed to be around anyone but straight, Christian people until I went to college. bi-gender means that there are some times that I feel like the opposite of my biological gender. it's not trans, because it's not all the time that I feel that way, and having both is a hermaphrodite, and has nothing to do with orientation.

THAT'S the loving and intimate way to create a child. Like I said, most people feel that life should only start in a Petri dish if there's some sort of fertility problem, so even if science DID perfect it, most people with morals wouldn't go to it anyway.
There's also the issue of how much it would cost. Sex is free, in vitro costs thousands of dollars. Then there's the other hundreds for prenatal visits and ultrasounds, and the other thousands for labor and delivery and hospitalization.
About sex therapy treatment, that also would cost thousands of dollars a year to keep up.
I honestly don't know of anyone other than you who would pay that much to make sure that their child isn't a homosexual.

I personally don't think that homosexuality is a birth defect, because it does not affect development in any way, shape, or form. It is a mutation of a gene, yes, but if you argue that you dislike gene mutation, you can also argue that you dislike evolution. Evolution came about because of gene mutation. There are also several other things due to gene mutation that are quite beautiful. Heterochromia, for instance, which can be very gorgeous. I have the form of heterochromia where there is a distinctly different color around the pupil than the rest of the iris. Red hair is actually a mutation, as well as blonde. So are blue eyes, and green. By having NO gene mutations from the normal, everyone would be walking around with tanned skin, straight brown hair, and dark brown eyes. No freckles, everyone the same height, the same bone structure, the same shoe size. All girls would have the same breast and areola size. The world would be boring to look at.

there are a mixture of defects, some people get born with physical deformities, some have mental issues, some have both.
there are many people who are born normal on the outside but have psychological issues that affect how theyr interact with the world...like retards, schizos, manic depressives....and gays are also mental defects (transgenders also have the issue of developing physical problems)

Like I said, it would cost more to have every woman produce genetically perfect eggs and men to produce genetically perfect sperm through gene therapy than it would to pay for, say, cord blood donations or stem cell procedures after birth. My cousin has autism and cerebral palsy. i'm about to have a baby. The umbilical cord blood from my baby will be donated to my cousin, and it will cost less than continuous gene therapy would have.
There are other options for treatment after birth, rather than altering the genetic code before.

I'm just not a big fan of insult comedy. I mean, I watched The Burn a few times and it was okay, I guess, but it seemed kind of hit or miss. Though, I will say, Lisa is probably one of few insult comedians that I actually kinda enjoy.
