Why not, just hear me out on this, NOT put up with this shit for weeks, and just fuckin call the police on him?

Honestly, if the only thing stopping you from beating your significant other is the fact that you're not strong enough to, then you're both equally shitty.

Be the bigger person, and let the authorities handle it.

Because domestic abuse cases are some of the hardest to handle? Because if you call the police, and you don't get that person taken care of FOR GOOD, they'll just be back with a vengeance? Because by this point, you're under the same spell that keeps dogs from mauling their abusive owners?
Don't fucking pretend like you know what it's like, because you don't. Don't sit there and state it like it's obvious, "Oh, just leave the asshole that knows me, my family, my friends, and most any social network I may have outside of that? Wish I had thought of that. Let me just call the police on a man who obviously isn't afraid to hurt me on a whim, let alone with a reason like putting him in prison."

Uhm, pretty sure I DO know what it's like.

I'm just going to paraphrase this:

My dad beat me for trying to steal

Moms sick and tired of having him beat us all the time.

She tries to protect me by fighting him.

She gets knocked onto the ground, and my dad goes after me again.

I'm not allowed to move, for fear that he'd kill me if I did.

My mom calls the police on him.

My dad gets arrested, goes to prison for a while, and has to go to some kind of group therapy.

He's not allowed within a certain radius of us, and if he were to get caught again, the punishments would be much more severe. A LOT more then it's worth going through just to strike a women and her child.

So when you tell me to NOT pretend I know what it's like, no ones pretending. I went through 5 years of child abuse, and the police handled this man I'm supposed to call 'dad' very well.

Also, he died alone in his apartment on Christmas.

TL;DR

Calling the police can actually help. It helped me and my family out, and possibly even saved my life. They kept this heartless child-abuser, and wife-beater AWAY from us.

Well you had the lucky case then.
Where the police were able to take him away.
Where the court was able to keep him away.
And where he died a sad and pathetic death.
Do you know how many times the police can't help? Or the courts are ineffective? Or how many times they find a way around it? How about when you call the police, and he fucking destroys you while they're on their way? Or even when the guy knows the police very well, and they gladly take his word versus yours?
Some of us weren't so lucky.

I understand what are you saying, but some people tend form and emotional attachment with their abusers, also called Stockholm syndrome, especially in women, they will actually defend their abusing husband even if that meant continues abuse.

and hey! I'm not a lawyer nor qualified advisor, I just stated the best way to poison an a beating husband to make him weak with little evidence to the law, I'm not nice or right, I'm just evil-ishly efficient when it comes to pay back.

I read something that said if you love someone you're more willing to put up with/ you ignore their faults.

But not if they're fucking beating you.
