My new colour is one that no ordinary human can see. It has a wavelength of 750 nm, I call it Rad.

Infrared is actually a range of colours. Like ultra-violet, or Visible light.

Colors by definition are visible to humans. Infrared and ultra-violet are not colors but are similar to colors in that that are both electromagnetic waves defined by wavelength.
