I got rejected by SAPOL (South Australian Police) even though I had a flawless resume and was extremely fit for having a 'religious' symbol on my wrist.
It's the actually the Deathly Hallows from Harry Potter....

There seems to be a lot of confusion here. I don't think anyone is trying to say there shouldn't be any police at all. I think we can all agree we need a police force, the problem is a lot of them abuse their power and are generally assholes.

Here in England you are eight times more likely to be killed by a police officer than a terrorist. They quite literally get away with murder on a regular basis.

Picture is an American police officer spraying young students at a peaceful protest with pepper spray while they're just sitting there on the pavement causing no harm. So when we see stuff like this all over the internet and the news, you guys must be able to understand why a lot of people have a disposition with police officers.

So in short... Yes, if my family, myself, my friends are in danger I am glad there is a police force there to help. But does this mean I cannot complain about their blatant abuse of power, or poor judgement calls, resulting in the harm or even deaths of citizens? **** no it doesn't.

The entire police system needs to be reinvented, and until then, I'm not going to entirely trust any officer of the law. In my eyes they are potentially more dangerous than thugs.

I like cops, but I hate police brutality. Tackling someone to the ground when trying to run away isn't brutality.

Have fun when people pillage your house, kill/rape your family and there is nothing you can do about it

And no one to help you trace them down

And no one to offer assistance
