About the Lord of the Rings one. Wrong, the eagles only come when they are in grave danger and their lives are literally on the line. Think about it. Gandalf ontop of Saurman's tower, outside the Black Gate, and (I'm sorry to anyone who hasn't seen the Hobbit yet) when Thorin is knocked out and everyone else is on the tree about to fall off the edge of the cliff. So no they couldn't have just flown the ring to Mordor and have it dropped in the mountain.

Who cares if anyone hasn't seen the Hobbit yet?

If they didn't read it when they were a kid they don't ******* count anyway :D

He's right, you know.

If you folks would care to play Lord of the Rings: War in the North, you'd get it explained by Gandalf there. You even get to ask Gandalf "Why don't we just use the eagles and drop the ring into Mount Doom that way?".

There was something about how the Eagles would've gone crazy and killed their passengers due to Mordor's corruption.

And they do what they want, they aren't Gandalf's servants.
