Then there are no true comedians. You cannot name a single joke that has ever been made that absolutely NO ONE is offended by. Frankie Boyle makes jokes which a lot of people get offended by, but most of it (in some cases it's just plain cruelty), it's simply reality dressed up in a funny costume. If a man who tells you how reality functions plain and simple is ''aiming to offend as many people as possible'', then you need a reality check.
What's the mark of a true comedian, someone who sells their soul to make people laugh whilst hiding everything they want to say, or an iconoclast who is brutally honest but ALSO funny.

He's funny on Mock The Week, where he provides a breath of fresh air in the form of going somewhere the other comedians perhaps wouldn't, but I watched his solo show the other day and it was basically "lol none but this is funny but it's offensive as fuck so laugh".

Meh, I see comedians as someone who makes me laugh, I don't care if they've made a million other people laugh, if they make me laugh then to me they are a comedian.
Frankie Boyle's sense of humour and jokes are based on the fact that he doesn't see the line between offensive comedy and general comedy, I like people who tend to step out of the communities comfort zone and say something funny but potentially controversial.

Michael Macintyre, Rhod Gilbert, Milton Jones. In my opinion, all are great comedians.

In my opinion the mark of a true comedian is to be able to say whatever you like, insult if you will, but to get the tone right. For example, my dad used to run a pub. He used to make the customers laugh by taking the piss out of them, but it was always done in just the right way. When my dad left, another bloke took it over and tried to do the same thing but ended up pissing off half of the regulars.

While I agree that a comedian who can make people laugh without offending people is great, I still do like the offensive stuff
