The speed of Darkness?

This is my OWN personal theory on the speed of darkness. I didn't find it on google or steal it from somebody here. Please don't steal, mkay?<br />

tst A theory brought to you by xporcupine as
TI/ hat- is the saeed of dark ?
This is what I' m going to answer for you today.
The speed of light is 299, 792, 458 miles thesecond.
Since darkness is simply (ack of light, I' m assuming the speed o
darkness would be a (ack of 299, 792, 458 miles per second. In
other words, miles per second. Then again, right behind a
beam of light is always a trail of darkness, never falling behind,
So really, darkness travels at a speed of 299, 792, 458 miles per
second also. This could be debated because modern science
tells us that darkness is truly nothing, so you would be saying
nothing can move, which in all honesty, I don' t find too hard t
believe since light has no density, yet can travel and be sucked
in by black holes. So, I agree with the statement that nothing
moves, and it travels at exactly 299, 792, 458 miles per second.

I disagree with you because you cannot give a characteristic to that which does not exist. Saying darkness has a speed is like saying silence has a sound. While in some philosophical sense that statement is true in practicality it means nothing. This is because something which does not exist cannot have a characteristic, if it did, it would exist. Then we would have to explain what 'dark' is and how it fits in with the rest of the fundamental particles. All in all, darkness cannot have speed solely because it doest not exist.

first of all light travels at 186,000 miles per second, so your argument is invalid

Darkness isn't there light is just a grouping of charged particles called photons. Black holes work against light because of their intense gravity. Space is like a black cloth and light travels on the plane of that cloth if you dropped marbles (planets) on the cloth they would create a dip in the cloth that the light would follow. A black hole just pulls the particles in.

Light is radiation. When it leaves an area all that is left is a zone lacking the radiation. Do to this it does not follow light it just wasn't there to begin with. It is not moving, it's a state of being more or less.

This is beyond stupid.
Darkness is a lack of light. Darkness doesn't follow light. Perhaps at a stretch you could consider it to be a medium which light passes through. But this is unnecessary as it's only property is a lack of light illuminating it, so considering darkness as an actual "thing" is unneeded.

Also I'm not really sure why the black hole is mentioned, seems pretty irrelevant.
Kind of like saying birds can fly which proves that bees can talk
