Actually its been proven that if you make certain drugs legal, the usage will decrease. It's the fact its contriband that makes it so desirable and unique. It's not longer anything special if any old chap can pick up a pound at the nearest store.

And we're talking about weapons... to murder people. Not about drugs... to be really happy.

That might be true for drugs, but actually its been proven that if you prohibit guns unless on special exceptions, the ammount of murders by gunfire decreases. Though there will always be people who won't follow the law, keep in mind that there is no law that can't be broken.

Like I said at the end we aren't really talking about drugs anyway, completely different story.

Yeah, it would lower the amount significantly by the amount of people who use guns for protection, like me. The remainder, of course is everyone who wants to fucking kill me.

I know what you're saying there..butttt Criminals will always find away to get weapons. I would rather have a way to defend myself rather than have someone come into my home and shoot me :T

That's fair. What this comes down to is that we can't trust stupid people with guns, but there is not many preventative procedures to keep the stupid from them.

I don't think stupid people is the right way to put it. More like the clinically depressed, partially insane people. And even then, if they're smart enough to use a gun, they're capable enough to obtain one illegally, I'd bet on it.
