cop: do you know why i pulled you over'?
me: was i speeding?
cop: no, but if you don' t know that, you
need to be paying more attention
cop: where is your license plate, bud?
me: It' s on my car
cop: no it' s not, come look
me: well shit. where did my license plate go'?
cop: where did you drive here from?
me: brantford, but i was following my GPS, i
couldnt tell you which roads i' taken
cop: well you' re driving without license
plates, i have to impound your car, and you
have to come with me
me: 'insert mental breakdown her?
Cop proceeds to walk to his car, open his
door, grab my license plate out of the car,
walk over to me, and pass it to me.
cop: never let this happen again. i picked it
up off the road 20 km ago, i' been looking
for you since.

No, the driver is a raging homosexual.
You're supposed to check your car every once in a while

If he had checked it, he would notice that the screws are loose

AAAND no.
Maybe they rusted through. Maybe something jolted it off.
If he had checked it, he might've noticed it, and he might've not. You don't really know the situation, don't assume that the screws were loose.

... not to mention that my car doesn't even use screws.

A license plate is generally supplied to you when you register your car. You either have it mailed to you or pick it up from the DMV. It is then your own responsibility to properly secure it to your car.

wow.. you are all kinds of retarded aren't you.. have you ever even bought a car before? depending on the state, you have to wait 1-8 weeks to get plates. once you get them in the mail or pick them up at the dmv, you screw the plates on with a ******* phillips head. it's not hard to do, if this story is true, this guy is as much of a dumbass as you

Good guy cop.

Sure he seemed a little... harsh.... but he made all that effort just to return a plate. And he didn't penalize him (at least that's how it seems).

He could have been a dick by not retrieving the plate and then impounding him... or he could have put some other violation on him or something.

Plus it's technically the driver's responsibility to secure the license plate on correctly.

The police union uses its support as leverage to force the government to bend to its will. They create unjust, unconstitutional laws that prevent citizens from recording officers on the job in an obvious effort to keep incriminating evidence out of court when they do wrong.

Police officers are arrogant scum that know they can do whatever they want without fear of repercussions. The only way to stop them and return them to being stewards of the people is to end their political influence.

**** the government. **** the police.
