Funny facebook posts are as such because they're supposed to be unintentional. When the funny comes from someone setting someone else up for a joke, it's just two guys sharing an inside joke. Instances like this that weren't planned are funny because the victim wasn't expecting it, making the person who told the joke more clever.

I don't doubt the person making this was "an actual person"
And I don't doubt he didn't have anyone with him, making it one person
This has thousands of views, so I'd call it a performance.
And he's telling a joke.
So it is "an actual person telling a joke in a 1-man performance
