Serious questions. How old are you? What country were you educated in? Were you forced or given the option to learn cursive?

I was forced (22 year-old from Canada), and I totally understand how everyone views it as a useless skill.

I was given the option to learn cursive, so that's how i can read a bit of it, however I went to a school for students for learning disabilities such as ADD, Dyslexia, etc, so it just never stuck.
And by "never stuck", I mean i refused to learn it because i thought it was stupid. I took a gamble not learning it and it looks like i made the correct one.
Cursive is a waste of time learning.

Cursive is usually legible when used in writing...but it's difficult to read.

This is why teachers are starting to stray from even teaching cursive to kids in school...just for the fact that it is so much easier to just type up documents now instead of teaching them this horrid writing style.

cursive writting has been around forever and is known as a more classy way of writting etc. i had to larn it in 2nd grde and had to write in it through 8th grade. when i got into highschool some teachers cared others not, so i as well as many others just got lazy with it. i currently do a combo of both, where ll have cursive and print letters in same word.

digital age has killed many classic ways of doing things. i also know many languages have a fancy or formal version as well.
