I ******* hate that Picture. Many Turks in the Town where I went to "Gymnasium" (I´m not sure what it is in America, I guess High school) wore this Sign everywhere. But the ones who wore the Sign were exactly the ones who refused to speak german, hang on to their muslim Traditions like hell and refused to adapt to Germany. Also they yelled around: "Türken-Style macht Deutschland geil" (Turkish-Style makes Germany horny/cool), did behave like they could do what they want, (especially to all the Girls) and talked about how they would make Germany the new Turkey. Don´t understand me wrong, there are many Turkish People I like, those who adapt to german Culture, etc. but the other kind should just be thrown right out of my Country...People who don´t know how to behave shouldn´t be allowed to stay

tl;dr Rage

Of course this comment has only 5 thumbs while comments like that flag picture get upvoted to heaven.
I hate how nowadays every white person has to be scared to say something against immigrants, or should I say Muslims? Because it seems that it is ok to make jokes about every other race on earth, but GOD BEWARE if someone makes fun of muslims or their ******* god.

I don't understand why so many people think they have to be nice to muslims in Germany (I don't know about the situations in other countries), it's like they can do all the stupid faggatory **** they want and still get away with it.
Why is it racist to hate on criminal scum like many of the turks here are?
If they do **** why am I not allowed to be against them?
User avatar #373 to #363 - ljxjlos (12/10/2012) [-]
That´s exactly my Opinion...I don´t judge people after their Race, i judge them after their behavior. A Person that behaves like an Asshole is an Asshole, no matter if Jew, Aryan, Italian, German, Turkish, etc.
User avatar #387 to #363 - vuican (12/10/2012) [-]
Its funny because Its the exact opposite where I live, I feel as though Europe tries too hard not to be "bad" or "wrong" which in turn hurts them in certain situations.

Turk here and I'm not offended.

I can see why many Germans hate the turkish folks, especially since some of them really misbehave in the worst manner possible.

However, I'm convinced that most of this hatred is based on the media; just think of it:
If a German/Austrian/Polish guy kills his family, it's a family tragedy, but as soon as someone who looks or whose name sounds the slightest turkish, it's immediately done to restore the family honor, no matter the real motif.

Again, don't get me wrong, I'm pretty sure there are many Turkish in Germany who don't even think about integrating, but I'd be glad if the part of the Germans that over - simplifies anyone would consider that there are actually some Turkish people in Germany who are not like that at all and who are willing to work and study for their money.

Just sayin.

TL;DR:

Not every Turk is bad, stop trivializing, bla bla bla
#268 to #262 - anon (12/10/2012) [-]
Because when a religious nut kills a family member because of "muh honour" it is honour killing. If a German/Austrian/Polish person kills a family member it's is because they are mentaly unstable. I'm not really sure what your point it.
User avatar #315 to #268 - mion (12/10/2012) [-]
The point is the following:

Not every Turkish, who murders, is a religious nut.
#289 to #262 - byposted (12/10/2012) [-]
That's ironic, because in America it's exactly the opposite. If a negro, for example, massacres a White person/family with racial motivations or not, it's almost always kept silent. But if a White person does the same, it's national news. The Trayvon Martin incident and the truck incident from the late 1990's come to mind.

I don't know how the German media functions, but I doubt they have any right-wing twist giving their current government (they're proposing the outlawing of a right-wing party, so much for democracy, eh?). They probably work to deceive native Germans just as they do to us Americans. But I'd need confirmation from an actual German to say whether or not you are wrong.
User avatar #351 to #289 - poeci (12/10/2012) [-]
German here. They try to outlaw the NPD, because it's an criminal and violent national-socialist party. Our leading Party is slightly right-winged itself...
Most turks (>90%) are living a normal live here, it's only fascists and idiots who claim that they exploit our country.
sorry for bad english
#294 to #262 - whitenerdy (12/10/2012) [-]
Dane here.

I can somehow see your view on how the media can somehow mislead the general public, but there's more to it then that.

The cultural and religious differences have created large cultural gaps, no offence meant by this, but the western are more "gracious" when it comes to helping the poor and those in need, where in the Islamic world, you have to claw your way through the world.

And people take that behavior with them to the Western culture, where that **** , ain't gonna fly.

Also such as simple behavior when you're "mad." I don't know if Turks also do this, but when 2 parties are mad at each other. People tend to yell, scream and other varies violent behavior, to convince the other party that they're right. where in my country, we have have a saying. "Big dogs don't bark." You don't do that unless it's some serious **** , like trespassing by Jehovah witness.

Again, no offense meant.

It's these kind of reasons, why there's so much tension between our 2 cultures.
