I love Avatar, and LoK is pretty cool. I'm... I'm so sorry... but I don't recognize the old man. Who is he?

After such a long time I bet Zuko's tea has gotten better.
Zuko outlived Aang? damn...by at least 16-20 years

Avatar: The Last Airbender, taken as a whole, was a masterpiece. The span of the whole thing was just long enough for you to feel sentimental about the first season but short enough to catch up easily if you came into it late. It's funny, sad, and really made an impression on me. And I only got into it seriously a couple years after it ended.
Korra felt like it was trying to prove something, and I think it was a somewhat poorly orchestrated beginning. At least it lacked the something that would make one feel all sentimental when looking back on it after a series finale. But maybe the writers didn't imagine it as a "beginning," but a point somewhere in the middle of the overall "Avatar" story, in that all three seasons of "The Last Airbender" were the sentimental beginning.
This story is going places, though.
