But I have a question, the picture has shit inside the holes. Living fuckers (I know it's photo-shopped, but its the idea). Isn't that the phobia, or is it something else? Because I've had nightmares and shit about this since I have been a kid. Makes my fukken skin crawl. Always imagined that every time you tried to get one of them out, they just dug deeper........

Fun Fact: Shit like that exists. Its a bug that lives in Brazil and it is called Bot Fly Larvae, if you wanted to google it. It burrows wherever it lands, and if you are lucky enough to have it land on your arms or legs/somewhere visible, you can suffocate the gaping hole it creates and when it surfaces to get some air, you better pry that fucker out quick. If you miss, he burrows deeper, releasing blood and pus to cover its tracks. Then you try again.

Apparently trying to pry or pinch them out is actually more likely to infect the wound.
Because bits of it break off when you try and get it out.
