I also had a teacher who massively hated me because I corrected him and his class one day. I wasn't being disrespectful, if anything I was afraid of coming off disrespectful because on that day it was the Principal's Tour day. It's basically when a bunch of faculty and principals from the other schools came and sat in on our classes. That day we were giving oral presentations on how to do certain math problems, when I noticed a flaw in one person's expression. No one else caught it, so I raised my hand and pointed out the flaw, same as any day.

The whole class went silent, and the teacher barely managed to agree with me, I had made him so flustered. Apparently his boss went off the hook at him for managing a class where the students have to teach themselves entirely, and so I became the number one hated student. He even tried to get other teachers to think I was disrespectful, but since about three of the school's best teachers were in the class that day he got nowhere.

What made life better for me in high school were the teachers who knew I'd only argue when I was right and they were in the wrong, and knew I'd basically get entire school rules changed with my arguments and petitions to the principal. It's the reason I'm going into law, actually...
