So everyone who ever told a joke, based on an event he didn't personally experience is an attention whore?

Don't get me wrong, i hate attention whores just as much as the next guy, but i don't think that telling a joke, or posting it to FB, actually counts as attention whoring.

This person didn't tell a joke, they told a joke as if it was THEIR OWN LIFE EXPERIENCE.
How do you know see the attention whoring in this?

People do that on FJ and other sites all the time. A whole lot of stories are just written in that perspective.

It doesn't automatically mean they tried to pass it off as a personal experience. They just shared a story written that way.
