Is the treadmill not a good workout? How about to lose weight?

Right now I have a stationary bike, but its boring as watching paint dry.

I read a book when I'm on the stationary bike. It distracts me from the pain.

My bike squeak really annoyingly so I use headphones and watch netflix.

But for some reason everything is boring on the bike.
But I watch it not working out, everything becomes the most interesting thing of all time.

Lifting burns more calories than cardio, therefore works better for weight loss.
Also, the more muscle you have, the greater calorie burning potential you have.

You can use a treadmill for a warm up.

And if you want to ride a bike, ride a real one whenever you can, it's less boring and you have a greater sense of achievement because you actually cover some distance.

I don't anything about working out.

Will I gain muscles like a lot? I really don't want to.
Just wanna lose weight.

Just eat less and you won't have to worry about "getting bulky", it's easier to lose weight than to gain muscle anyway.

I'm ok with lame jokes being made, and this one was funny for its kind, but when did this belief about France start ?
France had plenty of victories and Americans should not be the ones making jokes about this (not assuming you're american, but this joke is often made by them)

It started with the French not supporting us in the war in Iraq so the government put out propaganda that they were cowards.

running is more challenging than lifting. Getting more mass is easy!

HEY EVERYONE, CAPTAINLHERO DOESN'T LIFT.

I do lift 4 times a week but I just think running is more important for a healthy and "fit" lifestyle and it can be challenging if you challenge yourself hard enough. Going to the gym and lifting some weight is not a sport in my opinion but a good addition.

my guess is you are either lying about lifting or you dont know shit about it.

firstly, weight lifting (power lifting) is a sport. secondly, even if it weren't a sport it wouldn't mean that it's not challenging.

weight lifting is by far more challenging than running. the only thing that would make running a challenge would be extending duration, speed and incline. running requires a good pair of lungs and legs, that's it. weight lifting requires proper form and could easily be way more challenging by changing rep range , number of sets and of course weight. hell, there's so many fucking exercises you can superset together giving you a cardiovascular and muscular work out.

I wasn't saying that it isn't challenging. It can be very challenging! Maybe I am just worse at running and therefore thinking that running is more challenging. It can be both challenging and it depends on the person. I guess I should have said so, sorry. But well I think running is more important for your health overall. I think bodybuilding is not a sport, it depends aot of sympathy connections to be (extreme example) Mr. Olympia. Power lifiting is a sport of course.

I am not lying. I am light and not close as strong as someone who participates at power lifting contests but I think it's still noticeable that I lift.

Also of course running is more important to your health. Packing on slabs of muscle isn't exactly necessary and benefits of cardiovascular work outs are better than that of weight lifting.

The question was of the challenge. I'm simply just saying weight lifting is more challenging than running, and that based on the fact you think so you must not know anything about either.
