The fact that it's a circle means it is supposed to repeat itself? I can't believe I never thought of it that way.

Seeing as it is a circle, what if it is meant to repeat itself? But in order to do that, it has to destroy the existing, and then rebirth. So maybe the world will really end on the 21st. Either way, i'm going to go fap.

It's not a circle, it's cyclical. The mayans measured time in cycles. One of the cycles is several thousand years, and it ticks over on the same day as December 21 2012. Saying it predicts the end of the world is like saying our calendar predicted the end of the world on January 1 2000, just because the number ticks over by one.

I don't know much about it but apparently it's supposed to represent a cycle, and 2012 is the end of an era, not the end of the world.
