My grandma used to when she was a teenager, I guess it depends on the size of the pack, she's a chain smoker so y'know, lighting one up before you're even done with the last. But I mean, on average she was on 2 packs a day, even in her old age. Surprisingly quit.

No, i just smoke a lot. it's 10 dollars for a gram of mid (low quality) and 20 dollars for a gram of loud (high quality) I usually roll either a full gram in blunts or a .5g

My friend smokes ridiculous amounts, he has a joint, then a bong, then a cig, then a joint, and another bong, until it's gone. And even doing that, it lasts him a few hours. But still, not sure if smoking a bag/half a bag in a few minutes would be something to brag about? I wouldn't be proud if I was spending that much money for 1-2 joints. I'd rather spend that money enjoying other things, such as, finding a girlfriend/friends. But if you enjoy it, then fair enough.

I'm a smoker and I started because long story short i was hungry and it takes away your hunger, why people carry on smoking is because the craving to smoke is much like hunger, Imagine just trying to give up food forever. I'm not saying it excuses our behaviour, but maybe you can understand why people continue, and many people start for a variety of reasons, be it peer pressure, like me hunger, social smoking, drink and thought fuck it and never gave up. That's another thing, it's very very social, I have met many many people and girls through smoking and yes you can argue you there are other ways to do it, but this was done nigh on effortlessly "Have you got a lighter? Have you got a rizla or filter?" as soon as the conversation starts simple as. anyways weed, now that's like drinking, it gets you out of your mind which is useful for different situations; partys, gatherings, boredom, depression.

It's fun, and you have to die of something.

I'd rather die swiftly when I'm 50 than spend another 30 or 40 years waiting to die as my mind rots away.

And what makes you so certain that you'll die at age 50? You'll only get heart attacks, arthritis, loss of bone density, etc if you don't take care of your body. My grandfather lived to be 97 and he was never diagnosed with arthritis and never had a heart attack.

Well because weed has never killed anyone in the history of forever... but cigarettes and cigars, I don't know why. Very addictive, my mother still struggles and she's stopped smoking for years, every time she smells a cigarette she craves one she says, and my father is almost as bad as the guy in the post, he always has a cigarette in his mouth and we can't eat at a restaurant before stopping at a gas station to pick up a pack if he has less than two on him, all this after he watched his own father battle lung problems from smoking.

I was really trying to find a good article but it's wayyyyy back in history and I can't find it there. But it basically shows the deaths per substance, includes coffee, mushrooms, weed etc.... it does list weed as a part of the death, never as direct death, but was related not fully too. And I remember it wasn't the lowest either, it was like 3rd lowest on causes of death, but I can't remember the two that were least likely to kill you. So I don't deny that it hasn't killed anyone indirectly, most likely DUI I would think.

But I could also link you article after article about the benefits of MJ as I'm sure many other people could as well. It's been known to slow brain aging which is great for my Grandpa who uses it for Alzheimer's. I myself used it medicinally when I was having gallbladder issues until it was removed, without it I couldn't even eat, I weighed less than I did in 6th grade when I finally got surgery done (took a while to find). I was in constant pain and nauseated beyond belief, and I did try pharmaceuticals, I was on pain killers for a while which didn't help because they didn't even target the problem. Don't tell me it doesn't have benefits.

Oh and by the way, you DON'T have to smoke it. You don't need to inhale it into your lungs. You can eat it, you can use it as salve, eating hemp seeds is very good for you, people blend seeds into smoothies to drink. There are many ways to use it as medicine which it has been used for, for many many years. Stop your close minded ways, you automatically go on the attack, and you look just foolish.

of course weed won't kill directly. But one big (possible) downside to it, is if you're predisposed to a chemical imbalance, weed can cause/trigger mental illnesses. My brother is actually schizophrenic and weed is one of the main things that triggered his symptoms. Another thing is, weed is actually psychologically addictive. Not by what's in it, but you make it addictive yourself by reinforcing it. For example blazing up every time you get home from work. This creates a habit of smoking every time you get home from work.

Tl:DR Basically, all I'm getting at is just because weed hasn't directly killed anyone or has any addictive substances in it doesn't mean it's good and you can't get addicted to it.

I'm very aware that in some people it can cause issues, I won't deny that I'm part of a forum and there are many people there who have claimed to have had their problems worsened or brought on by weed. Who's to say this wouldn't have happened over time or from a different trigger? Anyways I also know that it can be addictive, I've never heard of a withdrawl my body needs this addiction, but I have heard many people not be able to deal with reality without having something to smoke.

The habit thing is the same as cigarette smokers, I've never actually heard from another smoker that the ritual they had with when they smoked triggered wanting to like it does with a cigarette smoker. My Aunt trying to stop smoking has a hard time in the mornings, she had a cigarette and a morning coffee. That reminder makes her want it, I've never heard of that for MJ though, but I don't doubt that could be true. Addictive personalities can get addicted to just about anything.

The problem with comparing weed to cigarettes though is, while weed some get addicted to it, cigarettes MOST get addicted. I had an ex who only picked up smoking to get another break but dropped it easily, so there are people who don't get addicted, but the majority of cigarette smokers are addicted, while the majority of weed smokers are not. They may smoke every day, but if they go dry for a while or have to sober up they are just fine dropping it.

There are no valid studies related to if smoking marijuana has effects on your lungs. It's illegal it's hard to study. But Michael Phelps seems to be fine haha. I know I'm a very active person and don't have lung troubles. But there are safer ways than smoking of course, you can eat it, drink it, use it as a salve like neosporine, or if you prefer to smoke vaporizing is much much better for you in terms of inhaling smoke.
