If it's anything like why you suffer for video game releases? Censorship, mostly. Australia has a much tighter standard on video game ratings, I can't see why movies would be any different.

The reason for the video game censorship is there is no 18+ certificate (for video games) like say the UK, so they either have to censor it down to a 15, or have it banned.
There is an R18+ certificate for films though, so I don't believe it's due to censorship.

Hmm... Not sure what to tell you then... All I could guess is Australia pissed of a whole lot of people once.
Or it could be that we still use film reals in theatres. Because only so many are made, certain markets get them first. Maybe the U.S.A. is considered a larger market? I feel like digital files should already be implemented and distributed.

They're all really close to Philly Deptford and Glassboro are in Gloucester County and Sicklerville is in Camden County so they all were basically fine from what I've heard.
