How the fuck is this racist? It isn't some kind of a slander or using it to speak badly about a group of people. I can call my black friend nigga without being racist. It's only racist if used negatively which this is not.

That wasn't a good example to use. Nigga is a collective term for most blacks, which it is. It stems from Negro, meaning the colour black in many other languages.

Paki, however, obviously comes from Pakistani, which is used to refer to people from Pakistan. Using that term to generalise all middle eastern people to one nationality? That's what makes it offensive in my book. Same as using Chink, stemming from Chinaman, to refer to all oriental asians.

Calling someone from Pakistani a Paki is no more offensive than calling someone from China a Chinaman or someone from Britain a Brit.

I know a lot of foreign families (incidentally, I'm white) and the ones who are most burdened with being called pakis (whom aren't Pakis) and Indian people I know (that means they are from India), Indians are not Arabs either, yet they also get called Arabs.
