Because you personally know Michael Macintyre and every other comedian and they have explicitly stated that they have a disdain for Michael Macintyre.

He's not far off, a lot of comedians have voiced their distaste for Michael McIntyre and his extremely mediocre jokes, and the fact that most of his material is stolen from 90s comedians. He also attained his fame through his father's wealth, who paid to get him top billings at major venues, something that every comedian has to toil years to achieve.

He basically hijacked a career that's extremely hard to get through wealth. Real comedians come to fruition through a trial by fire.

The trial is what makes a comedian great, it builds character. All great comedians never found their way into the limelight by accident, or through someone else's pocket. George Carlin, Louis CK, Greg Giraldo, Frankie Boyle, just a few who struggled for a long time to make it. If Michael McIntyre had to go through all the hardships they did, then chances are he'd be a better honed comedian, but instead he's just a recycling facility for jokes.

Frankie Boyle is an arse who isn't funny... He is incapable of making a joke that offends no one, its ridiculous.

Humour is subjective, but many people find him funny, and he's worked hard to get where he is, and causing controversy along the way shows that he's willing to push the boundaries. George Carlin built a career on being offensive, and he's considered by many as being the best comedian who ever lived.

Either way, Michael Macintyre is funny, people laugh at him, they pay to see his shows and they buy his DVDs, if he wasn't funny, people wouldn't buy into him.

Once again, humour is subjective, all I was saying is what anon was saying is true, a lot of comedians don't respect him because of his ill-earned success and his middle-of-the road jokes.

Then again, we live in a world where Larry the Cable Guy and Jeff Dunham are successful, sometimes there is no justice.

Doesn't matter how he got into the business, if people didn't find him funny he wouldn't get awards or be where he is today.

Fair enough if some people don't like him, either for his jokes or his personality....but others do...sooo yeah.
