Rainmeter is extremely easy to use and doesn't require coding (except for entering the postal code of your city for weather). Here's my desktop

I can't use rainmeter because it's not mac friendly...so I'm stuck with geektool and writing my scripts

Used an app called geektool, but it's for macs only. If you want one for PC you need a program called rainmeter...you should also have some basic coding experience.

Do you have mac or pc? I think rainmeter is slightly more user friendly. If not you could probably get by on geektool with internet tutorials.
