This post isn' t funny, but of utmost importance. There is soon
going to be a meeting of the International Telecommunications
Union (a part of the UN), rewriting rules for the Internet. These
rules could affect some to all UN countries, and proposals ranging
from allowing governmentman monitor internet usage, to censor
the Internet, to create an Internet tax, and even to allow the
government to restrict certain people from accessing the Internet
Nothing has been decidedly yet, and it is important that the
public voices its opinion. Either just click on the link on the Googl
homepage or in the description to sign a petition to keep the
Internet by the people and for the people. Last time, when the
SOFA and ACTA bills were going on, Funnyjunk stepped up and
played a role in informing thousands of people about its dangers.
However, I have not yet seen any posts about the upcoming
dangers of a Internet. It may seem like
I' m thumbwhoring, but to assure you that I am not I am deleting
this account immediately after posting this. Please like, favorite,
and repost on other sites like Facebook, Twitter, and any forum
that you can think of. I hope to see this on the front page
tomorrow.

They can take my liberties,
They can take my life,

But I swear if they start messing with my Internet Porn, I'll laugh at them as they burn.

This isn't what you think it is. Yes, there apparently is a conference going on. But the conference is supported by countries like China and Russia, and is essentially trying to help keep the net censored (which they already do).

Furthermore, many governments are actively opposing this conference, most notably the American government, which has sent representatives to internet giants like Google and Microsoft to help fight against this.

So yeah. Quasi Police States like Russia and China will try to impose more restrictions on the net, but I can almost guarantee it won't happen. And even if they manage to fool the UN into agreeing with their repressive measures (they won't), what effect will it have? Western Democracies like the US, Canada, the UK, France, Germany, and so forth make up the backbone of the UN. You really think they'll be able to enforce their measure without the support of the West?

Finally, most of these changes will only effect countries that already censor the web. Countries that most of us don't live in. Is it reprehensible that they're trying this? Yes. Should we be upset? ******* A we should. But our respective, democratic governments will take care of it.

Wall of text? No thanks. If you want to try to talk about something important, you may want to use proper paragraph format; it makes it seem like you give a **** , and that others should too.

Or read what still is ******* important you lazy **** . He stated to go some where... maybe go to the place where you can read it in its proper format instead of just being a troll.
