the part about holding your breath to wake up from sleep paralysis is a lie i have gone through it many times its scary and you can't control anything especially your breath, because your body thinks you are asleep so it controls your lungs not you..

and this hypnogagia is true as when I was a kid and had a nightmare I woke up by holding my breath, but once my mind got used to it, and I had fake wake-ups (I got in my bed, but then I was still dreaming, as weird stuff was still happening)
