one to blame men for trying to change the bulb instead of letting a woman do it,
one to blame men for creating a society that discourages women from changing light bulbs,
one to blame men for creating a society where women change too many light bulbs,
one to advocate that lightbulb changers should have wage parity with electricians,
one to alert the media that women are now "out-lightbulbing" men,
and one to just sit there taking pictures for her blog for photo-evidence that men are unnecessary.

The alternative is to just stick it in and then tell the light that if it tells anyone, you'll kill its family

It always kinda pisses me off when people assume that guys get angry at being friendzoned because of the Sex.

You know, when I was growing up when you asked a girl out and the end result was you two not going out, you were rejected.

She said no? Rejected.
She wasn't ready for or didn't want a relationship right then? Rejected.
Liked another guy? Rejected.
Just saw you as a friend? Yep, still rejected.

All of them, even being told you're more of a friend was a no to your offer of going out. Let's not try to pretend the "friendzone" is anything more than something to ignore the fact you were told no.

I don't know why guys bitch about being friendzoned all the time. I've been friendzoned twice this year, and yeah it sucks, but it's not the worst thing in the world. Get over it.

From birth we're taught that we're owed a beautiful girl. We all think of ourselves as the hero of our own story, and we all (whether we admit it or not) think we're heroes for just getting through our day.
So it's very frustrating, and I mean frustrating to the point of violence, when we don't get what we're owed. A contract has been broken. These women, by exercising their own choices, are denying it to us. It's why every Nice Guy is shocked to find that buying gifts for a girl and doing her favors won't win him sex. It's why we go to "slut" and "whore" as our default insults -- we're not mad that women enjoy sex. We're mad that women are distributing to other people the sex that they owed us. But remember, there are two ways to dehumanize someone: by dismissing them, and by idolizing them.

This is really the heart of it, right here. This is why no amount of male domination will ever be enough, why no level of control or privilege or female submission will ever satisfy us. We can put you under a burqa, we can force you out of the workplace -- it won't matter. You're still all we think about, and that gives you power over us. And we resent you for it.

I just don't understand why there is such self-pity around here. I mean, I will not lie, I am shy as fuck around girls, but any friend-zoning or rejection was my fault entirely. You just have to suck it up and keep trying, the worst that can happen is a no and a slightly bruised ego. If I could say anything to the people here on FJ having problems is to put your chin up, shoulders back and just go for it; stop praising the ground she walks on, you are trying to get her interest, not send in an application for husband material.
