Not all these are entirely accurate. For example, Yum! was started out of PepsiCo, but then separated, though they still maintain a lifetime contract in their restaurants to carry pepsi. Also, L'oreal isn't directly owned by Nestle. Rather, they own 30% of L'oreal's shares and voting rights, so they have a large influence on the company.

L oreal is owned by Nestle...I had no idea.
Also anything that you buy for house is probably made by P&G. We had one whole lecture about them in Marketing psychology. They started when two dudes joined forces, one was making candles and other soaps....fast forward 170 years and now its one of most powerfull companies in the world.
