i hope these zombies are sick not dead, like in 28 days later. it makes more sense to me for zombies to be fast when they are still technically alive.

as here frill mentioned, yes they are dead, I was just listening audiobook of WWZ,The Battle of the Yonkers part, and he described zombies as a slow mass of undead bodies,long several miles and the only way how they could be killed was destroying the brain,however in trailer it seems they die when they just shot them in the chest or somewhere else...

I'm sorry to tell you, they are dead.. can't stand running dead zombies. In the book "world war z", the don't turn into zombies until they reanimate, the sick and infested try to hide that they have been bitten. Was looking forward to this movie, it could have been the best, but then Max Brooks decided to suck Paramount's cock.

wait, I remembered something....Zombies in WWZ are infected,rabies kind of infection but as you mentioned,after death they reanimate and come back, but im not sure...I was listening to audiobook long time ago...

running zombies are stupid but running infected are even more scarier and more challenging in games.
