OR if they say they believe in God you can just say "okay" like a civil fucking human being. If they are the first to start an argument by saying something ignorant such as "God hates you" or whatever they want to say, then you can argue back because an argument is clearly what they want. An atheist going around shoving his beliefs down peoples throats is just the same as a Christian chanting about his religion in the streets. No one likes either.
Don't get me wrong, I'm atheist and whatnot, but why does he seem hellbent on crusading against religion? Or is the internet just overquoting him on his athiest bits?

Atheism is believing in no gods... While I am an atheist, believing in any gods, even if it's only one, automatically makes you non-atheist.

Being an atheist means not believing in any higher power at all. As a Christian I believe in the Christian God, which means I believe in the existence of a higher power. Which means I am not atheist at all.

I can't believe in all 2780 because they would contradict one another. Further, I'm a monotheist. Which narrows down the list considerably. Just because you believe in a higher power doesn't mean you believe in all of them. Not really how it works.
I believe in a form of higher power. I'm just not arrogant enough to claim that I know which is the true one. I'll find out when I die.
Zeus and Jupiter are the same god, just the greek and roman version. Same thing with Allah and God from the bible.
True, however while they are technically the same deity they do have many points where they differ mythology wise. This is just to show the difference in culture from the greeks to the romans.
So yes they are the same but it's not a fault to use them differently in the sense Ricky Gervais does due to the different culture they are based from.

We get it, Funnyjunk is all atheism.
God, where did the funny stuff go. I believe what I want, jeez.

atheisim-the belief in no god. so if u believe in one or many gods reguardless of how many gods u dont believ in, u are not an atheist, or aethiestic.
...except being an atheist means believing in no hgher powern at all, so whether you believe in thousands or just one, you're not an atheist, at all

I'm not religious. But since a lot of those gods had the same message in essence (their word was spread through interpretation) you could argue that there is a god or a superior being trying to establish contact or trying to guide humanity.
If someone were referring to Jupiter, Mars, etc, shouldn't they say "I believe in a god/gods"?

I love how this guy treats God/Religion/Deities as some who got dumped by the person he/she loved.
You know, one of those people that are CONSTANTLY like "Oh I'm so over him/her." Like every. Fucking. Time. You're around them?
Seriously it's like 90% of what he talks about.
