I wonder if in all 100 years of it's life, it ever noticed the world changing around it
Did it ever notice the person feeding it was different ever couple years?
Did it ever notice how technology around it changed?
Did it ever notice how the way humans around it dressed changed every 5 or so years?
Did it ever pick up that it was the last of it's kind until it was too late?
Seeing things like that make me wonder how long it would take a creature like that to learn enough to take the next mental step in intelligence. For something like a tortoise to know as much as a man but have no concept of simple things in our lives.
And this probably makes no sense what so ever.
