When there's a surprise test

i'm quite pleased to say that i was struck by the inspiration for a cunning plan on my way to the kitchen...
and when i say clever, i mean clever like a fox that went to Cambridge, graduated, and is now the professor of cunning plans.
the answer to my problem, was of course to use the very big knife to hack off the head of the prince, rather than myself.
