i'm starting to get a little worried martin will die before the series is over. i mean, as an old obese guy, he will statistically die like 10 years before the average age of like 77. with all the **** he brought back and useless fluff characters and subplots in book 5, i think theres actually a good chance he will physically die before the series is finished.

He finished the books, and I'm sure the tv series wont stray too far off the books even if he's not there to oversee it
