Actually, I kinda like the vampires that Stephanie Meyer created. I'm not defending twilight as a novel because it's a bad love story, Edward and Bella are bad characters, but I like the originality of the myth. I like to look at it as if in the Twilight universe, Vampires avoid sunlight because they sparkle, but humans mistook it as sunlight being a death sentence for them, hence modern myth. I'm not saying this is the best or the right way to do vampires, but it certainly is an interesting and original concept!
Also, the werewolves in Twilight aren't werewolves, they're shape shifters that come from Native American myth, so fuck you.
