The reason there are warnings now is because kids back then did try it.

To be fair, there is a huge difference between a cartoon animal using a rocket as a joke to catch the roadrunner, and a guy that is actually risking his physical being by riding a rocket just for laughs.
And yes, I know this is a "professional" that is performing this stunt, but it's still a real person which kids are more impressionable by. Don't forget that Spongebob also rode a rocket to space and that episode didn't have a warning

First of all, these cartoons are far older than the 90s. Also, they still air episodes of this, with no "Don't try this at home." Not to mention the fact that shows often tell you not to try this at home because people DID try it at home.
